LIABILITY

By booking a workshop or purchasing an item from Tilly’s Cottages, you acknowledge that you are responsible for your own safety and well-being. While every effort is made to provide a safe environment, Tilly’s Cottages cannot be held responsible for any injuries, accidents, or allergic reactions that occur during workshops or from the use of materials/products provided. Customers should ensure they follow all safety instructions and use materials responsibly.

You must be 18 years of age or older to attend a workshop, it is your responsibility to read the risk assessment which will be available at the venue. If the workshop attendee has any special or additional needs, they must be accompanied by another person who will accept full responsibility for the attendees well being, and to ensure they are safe using all the tools & materials available. This place will be free of charge but they will not be able to directly take part in the workshop - they are attending to support one other person. Please email louise@tillyscottages.co.uk to check availability before booking, as extra space will need to be made available for the supervising adult. This can only be managed for one person per course plus their carer/supervisor, so early booking is crucial.

Tilly’s Cottages reserves the right to refuse workshop participation to any attendee who is deemed to be acting in an unsafe or disruptive manner.

BOOKING INFORMATION

Once you have completed the purchase of a craft workshop, your place is then confirmed. Please keep your email confirmation as this is your proof of booking. Some venues may have workshop spaces upstairs – this will be noted on the description when booking. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk and biscuits will be available during the course – it is your responsibility to read the ingredients in case of any allergic reactions.

Workshop start & finish times are strict. If you arrive late or cannot finish your piece/s during the time allowed, you are welcome to take home the relevant accessories to complete your sculpture at home.

Venues may be subject to change due to circumstances out of my control.

CANCELLATIONS

As this craft workshop is classed as a leisure activity, it is exempt from the 14 day right to cancel for goods bought at a distance or off premises, and it is exempt from any cancellation rights under the Consumer Rights Act and Consumer Contract Regulations, as the workshop is provided for a specific date. If you are no longer able to attend a workshop that you have booked, a transfer to another date may be offered at the discretion of Tilly’s Cottages. You may send someone else in your place, but please let me know the change of name. In the exceptional circumstances that a course is cancelled by Louise at Tilly’s Cottages, you will be given as much notice as possible & offered an alternative date or a full refund.

For private or private group workshop bookings, a non-refundable deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due 30 days before the event. The above cancellation policy will apply.  Tilly’s Cottages is not liable for failure to fulfill obligations due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, illness, pandemics, strikes, or venue unavailability. In such cases, alternative dates or refunds may be offered at the discretion of Tilly’s Cottages
